DESIGN, CULTURE, AND SUSTAINABILITY

This line aims to create value through the analysis and development of new sustainable products and services, promoting collaboration between academia, government, and the business industry. Additionally, it focuses on the preservation, identification, documentation, and dissemination of tangible and intangible cultural heritage content in territorial, industrial, graphic, and cultural realms using design-specific methodologies. It highlights various expressions of Ecuadorian cultural heritage.

AUDIOVISUAL COMMUNICATION, SOCIETY, AND CULTURE

This line aims to critically and reflectively evaluate the communication elements present in audiovisual production, exploring the multiple interrelationships between various manifestations of visual culture, narrative structures, and other related epistemological, aesthetic, and political practices. It also considers the diverse emerging platforms, media, and audiences.

ART AND TECHNOLOGY

This line focuses on conducting artistic-scientific research with an applied approach in hybrid, creative, innovative, ethical, and sustainable artistic production. It aims to stimulate critical thinking and transdisciplinary integration with technology and sciences, seeking to foster openness in all disciplines through divergent thinking.
