Last Monday, the first phase of the BiciEspol project was inaugurated. This new transportation option aims to enhance mobility on campus by offering an alternative to the internal bus service provided by TransEspol during peak hours.

With comfortable bicycles, students can travel from the campus gate at Gustavo Galindo to the university's Rectorate. The 2.5 km route is marked by uneven terrain. Exiting the gate, the asphalt path passes the university's first buildings until reaching the main avenue, where the local vegetation can be seen.

Hours

The BiciEspol service is available from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM (including vacation periods).

Duration

The trip between the gate and the Rectorate takes approximately 7 minutes; however, students have 15 minutes to return the bicycle to the station.

Fines

For every additional 15 minutes, there is a $0.50 fine. The debt accumulates up to $5.00. Once this amount is reached, the student will not be able to borrow bicycles until the debt is settled at the ESPOL Treasury.
