Members of the Ecuadorian production company Levector, along with Millán Ludeña, who holds Ecuador's first sports Guinness World Record, visited EDCOM. During their visit, they spoke with students about the making of the documentary film From Core to Sun, which premiered in national cinemas in June.
David Pimentel, the post-production director at Levector, detailed the various aspects involved in the project, including technical challenges, the physical preparation of the participants, financing, and other topics that intrigued the attendees.
The students showed particular interest in learning about the development of a film characterized by being shot under extreme temperature conditions. From Core to Sun chronicles the preparation process and the experience of Guayaquil native Ludeña, who set out to complete a 21-kilometer circuit in the Mponeng gold mine, located east of Johannesburg, South Africa.
This mine is considered one of the deepest in the world (4,200 meters). Another challenge was to reach the summit of Mount Chimborazo (6,263 meters) and complete another 21 kilometers. To conclude the lecture, Millán encouraged all attendees to pursue their dreams and challenge their limits to become extraordinary individuals.
