EDCOM faculty and students stand out at FAAL

Master Daniça Uscocovich was part of the jury members for the painting category of the Festival de Artes al Aire Libre (FAAL), where she followed the creative process of the participants. This Saturday, November 10, the awards ceremony will be held at the Simon Bolivar Malecon. Among the honorable mentions is the polytechnic Joshua Segarra; while the student Josué Muentes qualified to present his work at the museum.

The FAAL was inaugurated on Friday, October 29 at the Malecon 2000, the same has been held since 2000, for the independence festivities of the city of Guayaquil.  The contest had 163 people registered, of which 29 participants were chosen to exhibit their works and six for the awards, which included the first three places and three honorable mentions. 

The scenic, visual and alternative plastic arts are presented in eleven contest categories: painting, sculpture, drawing, alternative arts, music, dance, theater, puppetry, declamation, photography and short films.

The teacher's work consisted of analyzing the conceptualization and creativity displayed in the participating paintings. The polytechnic teacher pointed out that her participation in this event was a wonderful opportunity to meet new artists of all ages. Cristhian Moreano and Alejandro Elías, also artists, were her fellow jurors from October 29 to November 3.
