In an emotional ceremony, students, authorities, faculty, and families celebrated the graduation of the first cohort of Product Design professionals from ESPOL.
Cecilia Paredes, Ph.D., mentioned that to establish this program, the situation of international universities was analyzed, a process that required time and dedication. She encouraged the graduates to replicate the effort made and motivated them to become the agents of change that society needs.
Nayeth Solórzano, Ph.D., expressed gratitude for the support from the authorities in developing the program. She also encouraged students and faculty to continue actively engaging in the process to keep producing top-tier professionals.
The Coordinator of the Product Design program, Master Edgar Jiménez, highlighted the ability of his students to break paradigms in various local competitions. For his part, Professor Jimmy Cañizares explained the role of the designer within the industrial spectrum, emphasizing that today, professionals in the field have multiple tools to thrive and find their place in the job market.
Finally, the students presented their graduation projects. Creativity and innovation were the main components of the presentations by the Polytechnic professionals in Product Design.
