The Faculty of Art, Design, and Audiovisual Communication (FADCOM) participated in the opening of the "Month of Creativity and Innovation" event, an initiative that will take place throughout April in the city. This event is organized by the Municipal Public Company for Innovation and Competitiveness of Guayaquil (EPICO) and the Guayaquil Digital Creative community.
Dr. Nayeth Solórzano, Dean of FADCOM, was part of the event's board, while M.Sc. Karla Caicedo and M.Sc. Edgar Jiménez attended as representatives of our faculty. This initiative aims to promote multisectoral development, creative industries, technology, and entrepreneurship in Guayaquil through the collaborative efforts of over 20 partners, including public and private enterprises, communities, and 7 higher education institutions.
FADCOM reaffirms its commitment to the people of Guayaquil through its participation in several student projects that will be showcased at one of the event's venues. Additionally, the MIDI project, which focuses on robotics for social inclusion and has received national and international recognition for its impact on the community, will be highlighted.
FADCOM's involvement in this event demonstrates its dedication to fostering creativity and innovation in the city. It also reaffirms its position as one of the leading academic centers in the field of Art, Design, and Audiovisual Communication.
