Christopher Sippel, an official from the University of Findlay, visited ESPOL this Friday and met with students from FADCOM. Maria Auxiliadora Rivera Verdesoto, Maria Fernanda Castro Mosquera, and Isabela Victoria Woelke Hernández from the Graphic Design program, and Milena Marola Campuzano Poma and Ana Belén López Zavala from Media Production.
The ESPOL students, with their project "Weaving the Future: Improving Fine Motor Skills Through Traditional Weaving Techniques," have been invited by the University of Findlay, Ohio, USA, to collaborate on the execution of the project for three months through the ESPOL Student Mobility Scholarship.
During his visit, Christopher Sippel answered some of the students' questions and learned more about the project. As part of their welcome, the students presented him with a traditional toquilla straw hat as a gift, given that their project is related to preserving ancestral weaving techniques applied to developing motor skills in primary school children.
