The Faculty of Art, Design, and Visual Communication at ESPOL unveiled its new common areas, designed to provide the FADCOM community with spaces for interaction where ideas can be transformed into realities.
The event began with a speech by Nayeth Solórzano, Ph.D., Dean of the Faculty, who expressed gratitude to the ESPOL authorities for their openness and willingness to bring this project to life. In her speech, she emphasized the importance of these recreational spaces for the academic and creative development of the students.
Rector Cecilia Paredes, Ph.D., addressed the audience, sharing her vision of revitalizing the campus through the integration of science, engineering, and art. She thanked those involved in the project, highlighting their commitment and effort in creating these spaces, which she considers fundamental to quality education
Additionally, she encouraged students to continue being examples of evolution and perseverance. Student representatives, Clemente Yerovi and Paula Chang, also expressed their gratitude, promising to take care of and make the most of these new resources, which include areas with recreational games like a giant chessboard and tic-tac-toe, as well as collaborative murals and exhibitions in the inner courtyards and the faculty hall.
These facilities are designed to foster the students' creativity and imagination, enriching the educational experience at FADCOM and offering students a more stimulating and enriching environment for their academic and creative development.
