The Faculty of Art, Design and Audiovisual Communication (FADCOM) of ESPOL experienced two days full of creativity and entrepreneurship during the semifinal of the #5MinPitch, an event that took place on January 29 and 30 as part of the Ordinary Academic Period (PAO) 2024-2. This event, organized for final year students of Graphic Design, Product Design and Media Production, allowed participants to present their integrative projects, presenting the talent and commercial potential of their ideas.
The #5MinPitch is an academic initiative that challenges students to present their final projects in a maximum time of 5 minutes. With the aim of “selling” their ideas to a specialized jury, participants must combine communication, innovation and argumentation skills to highlight the feasibility and relevance of their proposals.
Following a meticulous evaluation, the following projects were selected for the grand finale:
Graphic Design:

Design of a toy to promote fun learning about healthy eating.

Design of a functional protection system for older adults against accidental falls.
Media Production:
Diego Sebastián Vera del Castillo
Quisapincha: Rediscovering its tourism potential through audiovisuals.
Ángela Esther Rivadeneira Vera y Angie Lissette Pazmiño Bodero
Educapol: Audiovisual material as a tool for the dissemination of institutions oriented to higher education.
The grand finale of the #5MinPitch will be held on Thursday, February 13 at the FIMCP Auditorium of ESPOL. The event schedule includes:
🕘 09:00 - 11:00: Presentation of the finalists at the FIMCP Auditorium.
🕚 11:30 - 12:30: IDEAR Fair (poster exhibition) in the Events Hall of the FIEC Building.
🏆 12:30 - 14:00: Awards ceremony in the FIEC Auditorium.
This event is a strategic space to evaluate the commercial potential of the projects and share best practices among students, professors and industry representatives, reaffirming the commitment of FADCOM and ESPOL to innovation, entrepreneurship and the training of professionals capable of transforming realities.
