The "Huasy Cuy" Contemporary Art Center (Huasy = house, Cuy = Andean animal, Quechua language) is a collective that has created an artistic instrument to connect cultural actors with the aim of making the artwork and the spectator coexist. The group will inaugurate an event in Guayaquil on February 9 at 5:30 PM, at 1,200 9 de Octubre Avenue and Quito Avenue. The exhibition will be open to the public until February 28.

Polytechnic student Fernanda Quishpe, currently in her fourth semester of the Media Production program, has joined the artistic collective and will exhibit her works at the event. The exhibition will also feature Pedro Avellaneda, an alumni of the Plastic Arts program at the Central University of Ecuador. Additionally, a popular music gathering will take place, with contributions from Alexis Avellaneda, Pablo Miño, EDCOM faculty member and musical composer, and Carlos Vázcones, audiovisual producer.

The event will also showcase works by Naim Tocagón, who will present his Cayambeño performance. Likewise, Solange Reyes and Kevin Reyes, students from the Ballet and Dance School of the Casa de la Cultura Guayas, will present their performance MAPALE.
