Design is a fundamental discipline for the development of products, services, experiences, or brands in today's world. While many people perceive design as the aesthetic aspect of something, the visible and tangible outcome, this is merely the final result of a process.
Strategic design involves understanding people in all their aspects, in order to propose comprehensive, communicable, efficient, and effective creative solutions to specific problems. Design is a process that encompasses research, empathy, conceptualization, experimentation, proposal creation, and validation of results that adapt to various human circumstances, forming both functional and emotional connections while intersecting with art.
Design is one of the three fundamental pillars of innovation, as it ensures the consideration of human aspects such as usability or desirability. In this way, it complements disciplines like engineering or economics, which focus on constructive aspects or the feasibility of a solution. Design consciously seeks connections and interactions through the production of images, communication forms, systems, spaces, and objects. Responsible design promotes social and environmental well-being, even changing behavior and consumption paradigms.
Strategically thought-out design generates value. When there is a perception of value, it creates economic prosperity, promotes innovation, strengthens businesses, and positions brands. Design is an energy in constant movement and transformation, one of the driving forces that moves the world.
