The project “Interactions with Digital Games and Applied Technologies in Education” aims to ensure quality education for children and adolescents at the “Centro Especializado Hogar de Nazareth” by integrating educational technologies, such as mobile apps and digital resources, into the teaching and learning process.
Led by Professor Elizabeth Elizalde, M.Sc., the project has been developed over several months and includes ongoing activities such as teacher training and the implementation of classroom technologies. This involves using tablets and mobile apps as learning tools to provide an interactive educational experience.
The project utilized MIDI-am games and a robotic bust named Loly. Additionally, workshops were conducted to train teachers in technological, audiovisual, and design skills, enabling them to integrate these technologies into their teaching methods.
Significant progress was achieved during the project, including the training of teachers in educational tools through practical workshops on audiovisual skills and the use of design tools and playful applications.
Teachers also created educational content using the technologies they learned, which improved the quality of education provided.
Students used the mobile apps at least once, demonstrating significant progress in their cognitive and social skills, and increasing their focus and concentration on curricular activities.
