More than two hundred and forty people attended the discussion with Ecuadorian filmmakers Sebastián and Viviana Cordero. The event was held on Thursday, November 13 at the Escuela Superior Politécnica del Litoral (Espol), and is part of the activities that take place at La Rueda, the open house of the School of Design and Visual Communication (Edcom).

Sebastián, known for directing films such as “Ratas, Ratones y Rateros” or the more recent “Europa Report”, shared some experiences and words with the students. “You have to set high standards, ambitious goals,” he advised them.

Viviana, for her part, told the audience about the difficulties she experienced in the making of her first feature films. “The biggest obstacle has been money. When I started out as a filmmaker there was no support,” she recalled. A big thrill for the audience was the announcement of an internship on Sebastian's next film, “Sin muertos no hay carnaval”.

Edgar Morán, an audiovisual production student, won it after answering how many micro-cameras there were in the filming of “Europa Report”. For this filming, eight small cameras were used throughout the set.

The end of the conversation was exhausting for the Cordero brothers. Most of the attendees formed a line to ask for photos and autographs, requests that they always complied with a smile on their faces.
