On Tuesday, October 17, the official signing of the Business Pre-Professional Practices Agreement between ESPOL and Thoughtworks took place, aiming to provide university students with the opportunity to gain professional experience at this globally leading technology consultancy. Thoughtworks stands out for its focus on strategy, design, and software engineering, helping businesses and technological disruptors thrive in the digital world.

Additionally, the second edition of the "Leaders in Action" program was presented, a mentoring initiative aimed at outstanding students who are part of ESPOL's student clubs. Fifteen students and five faculty advisors will receive training in essential skills, leadership, and user experience, among other areas, led by international instructors from the Thoughtworks team.

Present at the ceremony for FADCOM were Dean Nayeth Solórzano, Ph.D., Associate Dean Carlos González, along with Ariana García, M.Sc., Diana Macías, M.Sc., and Edgar Jiménez, M.Sc., program coordinators at FADCOM. Also in attendance were Giovanni Serrano, Delivery Principal at Thoughtworks, and Karla Caicedo, M.Sc., Director of the Creative Services Center at FADCOM. Representing i3Lab were María Isabel Alcívar, M.Sc., Coordinator of Design Thinking and Student Clubs, and Andrea Figueroa, Analyst of Education Administration.

The signing of the agreement and the leadership program reflect the commitment to providing professional development and leadership opportunities for students. The collaboration has been strengthened based on the successful experience from last year when Thoughtworks delivered a leadership program to a group of Product Design students.
