ESPOL has its first product design workshop. This is Bauhaus, a space dedicated to students who wish to create and develop their creativity.
The inauguration took place in commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the first school of architecture, design, crafts and art with the same name.
The event was attended by the authorities of the Faculty, its dean, PhD. Marcelo Baez, gave a speech where he highlighted the work done by teachers and the coordinator of the Product Design career, Karla Caicedo. The event was also visited by professors from other faculties and the rector of ESPOL, Dr. Cecilia Paredes, who highlighted the hard work of the Faculty and those in charge to host a space dedicated to students.
Professor Caicedo emphasized that the study counted with the active participation of students from their first year of studies. The space is equipped with tables specially designed by Asiris Lab, the first FABlab in Guayaquil, and will also have specialized equipment for the elaboration of 3D designs, folding, layout, among others.
