FADCOM present at the Environmental Challenge "Guayas y Quil"

The launch of the Environmental Challenge "Guayas y Quil" was successfully carried out, an initiative that seeks to recognize individuals and organizations that present innovative proposals to complement the environmental management of the municipality. The event featured the participation of educational institutions and representatives from the public and private sectors, committed to environmental care. The Faculty of Arts, Design, and Audiovisual Communication (FADCOM) of ESPOL played a prominent role in the event.

Professor Da Hee Park Kim received an award granted by the Environmental Directorate of the Honorable Municipality of Guayaquil. This recognition was in honor of her project "Artiflora," conducted together with her students from the Product Design program.

The works were displayed at the entrance of the UTEG auditorium, serving as part of the welcome prepared by the organization for the visitors. During the ceremony, the six categories in which participants can compete were highlighted: industries, environmental education, youth, biodiversity, tourism, and technology.

Each of these categories addresses a key aspect of the canton’s sustainability, inviting the community to get actively involved. The dates for submitting proposals and the award ceremony will be announced in the coming months through the official channels of the Municipality of Guayaquil.
