On Friday, March 21, a delegation from the University of the Arts (UARTES), led by its rector and various academic authorities, visited the laboratories of the Faculty of Art, Design and Audiovisual Communication (FADCOM) of ESPOL. During the tour, they learned about the capabilities of the Prototyping Laboratory, the Sound Laboratory, the Television Laboratory and the Serigraphy Workshop, exploring their tools and work methodologies up close.
During the tour, the delegation was able to explore the Prototyping Workshop of the 3M building, equipped with specialized technology for the manufacture of metal, plastic, ceramic, wood and electronic parts. They also visited the laboratories of the Audiovisual Production Center, made up of the Sound Laboratory and the Television Laboratory, where they were introduced to the tools and methodologies used in the training of students in audiovisual media.

They also toured the renovated FADCOM Serigraphy Workshop, directed by Franklin Guadalupe, who explained the processes and techniques taught in this space. The tour began with a welcome at the 3M building, led by the Dean of FADCOM, Nayeth Solórzano, Ph.D., who presented the facilities and explained the capabilities of the laboratory. The delegation then visited the different areas of FADCOM, with special emphasis on the audiovisual production and screen printing laboratories, where they were able to learn about the tools, equipment and processes that are part of the faculty's learning process.
This meeting is part of the inter-institutional cooperation agreement between ESPOL and UARTES, which aims to strengthen collaboration in teaching, research, links with society, pre-professional internships and publishing production. Both universities are working on the construction of a scientific-cultural corridor in Guayaquil to promote the integration of art and technology.

In addition, the agreement has facilitated the exchange of students between both institutions, allowing 41 ESPOL students to take courses at UARTES and 37 UARTES students at ESPOL. The visit reinforces this commitment, opening new opportunities for the development of joint projects. The visit of UARTES to ESPOL represents another step in the consolidation of strategic alliances between both institutions.
With this type of initiative, innovation in the field of art and technology is encouraged, promoting the creation of joint projects that benefit students and teachers. The synergy between ESPOL and UARTES will continue to generate spaces for collaboration and academic growth, positioning both universities as leaders in the artistic and technological fields.
