The integrative project by Cristhian Sandoval and Karla Posligua has been selected for the Official Selection 2018 of the 2nd CALIBÉLULA Film Festival in the "International and National Feature Film" category, held in Cali, Colombia.
Their project is a fiction short film that portrays the daily life of a character named Germán, who is Cristhian Sandoval’s real-life father, and the financial struggles he faces in trying to celebrate his young son's birthday. Throughout the week, Germán fails to gather the necessary money. As a result, his son decides not to visit his father's house on his birthday; however, in the end, Germán manages to secure the money to prepare a meal for his son.
"After completing the entire film, we concluded that it's possible to tell the story of an individual, even if they are just an ordinary person in society. The impact will still depend on the proper handling of the Aristotelian three-act structure," said Cristhian Sandoval.
