Popular Graphics and Visual Thinking as learning allies is a project developed in collaboration with the Unidad Fiscomisional Educativa Fe y Alegría of Guayaquil. This initiative aims to train high school and upper elementary school teachers in visual thinking and coastal popular graphics to strengthen students' learning and cultural identity.
The project, led by Professor Mónica Robles, M.Sc., is part of ESPOL's Social and Educational Growth Program. Through in-person and virtual workshops, the project aims to teach concepts and strategies of visual thinking for the use of coastal popular graphics. Additionally, educational materials such as manuals, activity books, and audiovisual clips are created to support teachers' learning.
During the project’s development, progress was made in training and creating educational materials. The participating teachers learned about and applied studies on coastal popular graphics, effectively demonstrating the use of visual thinking in their classrooms.
