At least five projects by polytechnic students have become semi-finalists in the illustrated story competition "Seeds of change: climate change stories for children illustrated by young people". In total, there are 10 semi-finalists out of 109 entries received in the first edition.
Gabriel Peña is an urban artist born in Guayaquil. He graduated from the Escuela Superior Politécnica del Litoral with a degree in Graphic Design and Audiovisual Production. For the past six years, he has been expressing his art through muralism, with his characteristic figurative style, in various sectors of the city. 31/08/2021

El Festival Latin American Design Awards se llevó a cabo el pasado 9 de julio. En esta edición, destacaron dos politécnicos cuyos trabajos obtuvieron premios en distintas categorías. Uno de ellos fue Javier Pérez, conocido en redes sociales como Cintascotch. Él obtuvo el premio de plata en la categoría animación por su proyecto Stop Motion Experiments. Por su parte, la estudiante Renata Bazurto ganó en la categoría estudiantil New Brand Identity. 13/07/2021

On November 9th, FADCOM faculty member Ariana del Pino, in collaboration with several faculty members from the department and in coordination with various research professors from the Americas and Europe, presented the publication of the book Improving University Reputation Through Academic Digital Branding. 16/11/2020
