Inauguration of the Prototyping Workshop at ESPOL

On July 31, the inauguration of the Prototyping Workshop took place at the Escuela Superior Politécnica del Litoral (ESPOL). The event was attended by Rector Cecilia Paredes, Ph.D., and the Dean of the Faculty of Art, Design, and Communication, Nayeth Solórzano, Ph.D., who participated in the opening ceremony and toured the facilities of the new learning center.

This new workshop complex, located in the 3M building, is dedicated to hands-on teaching and the development of student prototypes at ESPOL. It houses several specialized workshops, including carpentry, modeling, painting, ceramics, and cutting. These spaces are equipped with advanced technology to provide a comprehensive educational experience that fosters creativity and innovation.

Attendees at the event toured the various workshops, exploring the capabilities of each area and sharing their vision of the opportunities the building offers to students.

The incorporation of this space into the academic dynamics of ESPOL provides students with an equipped environment where they can experiment with different techniques and materials, developing fundamental skills in the field of industrial design.
