The writer Marcelo Báez Meza, Ph.D., professor at FADCOM, won the XI National Literature Contest Miguel Riofrío, in the short novel genre. This literary contest, which is held annually, is promoted by the Casa de la Cultura Ecuatoriana Benjamín Carrión Núcleo de Loja.
